4G63 Evo 4 engine knocking noise :(

Evo 4 knocking noise, please help me to diagnose this noise if you have herd similar before?

NOTE;
I have placed a DTI on the crank and measured for walk... its perfectly true.
Removed the rod bearings and they are also perfect nothing spun etc no signs of damage or knocking.
I checked timing against what i could see with the engine still in the car and that also looks good, oil pump sprocket, crank, balancer shafts etc all align.

It is 100% louder up top than when under the car, it rears its ugly head when the engine/oil is warm with the aux belt off! but with the aux belt on its there from cold :s weird...

There are two balance shafts the one i can get to at the rear of the block seems fine it does rotate slightly even with the belt attached but i think this is just abit of backlash, i get very very little sideways movement from it a small click of less than 1mm end to end... i dont think its enough to cause this noise.

I Leak tested all 4 cyclinders all below 10% leakage... The noise is louder at cylinder 1 than 4...

Running out of ideas, all help / suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
