Joel is a dual winner of Kangan Institute’s 2021 Inspirational Student of the Year.
Joel was already working in the disability sector, specialising in people with acquired brain injuries when he enrolled in Kangan Institute’s Certificate IV in Disability course.
Midway through his studies, Joel was diagnosed with Autism and openly shared his experience with classmates.
With support from his teachers, Joel successfully completed his course and has found full-time employment with Wazka Support Services in Korumburra, where he now creates his own workshops and programs for people on the spectrum.
