Rahul Gandhi Manipur Live: On his first day-long visit to the Northeast, Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, visited the Jiribam Higher Secondary School relief camp to engage in discussions with the residents. In the early hours of July 8, gunfire erupted near Phaitol village in the Jiribam district, exacerbating tensions amid ongoing ethnic clashes in Manipur. Rahul Gandhi also visits homes belonging to both the Kui-zo and Meitei communities, which were reportedly set ablaze. Joint operations by security forces are currently underway to address the situation. Earlier in the day, Rahul Gandhi visited a relief camp in Assam and interacted with people affected by the flood.
