Dispute Information:

We are within our rights to use the public domain hymn, "Alleluia! Sing to Jesus".  Written by William C. Dix and Rowland Prichard.  It was written in the 1800s, well before a work to be considered public domain in the USA, where we are located and where this Mass with Father Dave was filmed, of 1928 as it was written in the 1800s.  Both the music/melody and text are in the public domain.  "Alleluia! Sing to Jesus" would have been considered public domain in the year 1968 as that is 70 years after William C. Dix died and a work is considered public domain in the United States of America approximately 70 years after the composer has died.  Since William C. Dix died after Rowland H. Prichard, the work would be considered public domain after William C. Dix died.  Any claim to this hymn's music/melody or lyrics by entities foreign or domestic are invalid as this is a public domain hymn in the United States of America where we are located and where this Mass with Father Dave was filmed.  Additionally, any claim to this hymn's use as a cover song by entities foreign or domestic is invalid as our own musicians performed this hymn for this Mass with Father Dave.
