You must have heard camels store water in their humps as a kid, right? It's a common misunderstanding everyone hears. Camels don't actually keep water in their humps, but actually fat. This fat provides nourishment to them in times of need. There are many other misunderstandings about camels scattered around. It's true that camels can last days without food or water, but it's not because they've got water stored in their humps.
