for sugar syrup
sugar 2 cup
water 1 cup
cardamom powder 1/2 tbsp

for jalebi batter
wheat flour (maida) 1 cup
food colour
oil

oil temperature tips:
1) perfect oil temperature: the oil should be medium hot (drop a small amount to test, if the better fries and comes up in the oil within 3 to 5 second, the temperature of the oil is perfect

2) oil is too hot: if the better rises up instantly within 1 to 2 second then the oil is to hot, turn the heat to medium at a table spoon of oil into the hot oil and test again

3) oil is less hot: if the better stays at the bottom of the oil for more than 8 to 10 second then the oil is not hot enough heat for some more time on medium and test again
