Revelation 3:20 says, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me."

God sent His son, Jesus, to earth in an unexplainable way - through a virgin birth, so that Jesus could reconcile humanity back to Himself after mankind sinned.

Our "good works" will never be sufficient to allow us to be in relationship with a Holy God after our life on this earth is over. That is why Jesus had to pay the penalty of sin, by sacrificing His life for us.

The verse in Revelation means that God is actively waiting for you to accept His invitation to be in right standing with Him, but He will never force that decision on you.

I pray that you will acknowledge the sin in your life that plagues us all, and you will receive the good news of the Gospel that says God's only requirement of us is to repent of our sins, and believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross so we didn't have to, and by confessing with our mouth that Jesus is Lord - we can spend eternity with Him in Heaven after this life.
