He was honored with the National Teacher Award by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, at a ceremony in New Delhi's Vigyan Bhawan on Teachers Day 2024.

Rajendra Singh has transformed four struggling government schools over his 20-year career, and his hard work has drawn attention across the state.
What’s truly remarkable is how students from 16 nearby villages left private schools to enroll in the revamped government school. The demand has grown so much that parents now pre-register their children a year in advance for admission. The school saw a 627% increase in student enrollment, setting a record across Punjab.

Rajendra Singh attributes his success to the teachings of Spiritual Master Saint Dr. Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh Ji Insan, crediting his guidance and the principles of dedication and sincerity for this national recognition.

His work has earned him nine state-level honors, including transforming schools without government grants, setting enrollment records, creating TV programs for students during the COVID-19 pandemic, hosting children’s shows, and promoting English medium education at the primary level. He also organized summer camps and led state-level sports events. In 2020, the Punjab Education Department ranked him first in the state for his exceptional teaching services, awarding him the prestigious State Award.
