Planes can indeed land themselves!

Myself and my First Officer took this video in a Boeing 737-800 with 2 Go Pro cameras, and an audio recorder, whilst landing in Madrid. The visibility and cloud base were low (Low Visibility Operations LVO), so an "autoland" was necessary. The FO is the "Pilot Flying" for the approach, whilst myself, the Captain, monitors and then becomes the "Pilot Flying", just before landing. However what makes this approach interesting, is that the autopilot was in control the whole time. Even for the landing itself!
