A quick look at how to 'Seed Start' ginger indoors. Gardening zones are obsolete. The best way to know when to start tomatoes, peppers, cool weather crops, and other seeds indoors is based on outdoor soil temperature. Know your average first frost date and last frost date and when the top 6-8 inches of your soil is about 50 degrees.
