Описание к видео 125+ Year Old Treasure Found Buried Underneath Building in Louisville

Patrick Donley is a local Louisville artist - and also the owner of one of the coolest properties I've ever seen. He bought a commercial building in the Germantown neighborhood of Louisville, KY back in 1995 to convert it into an art studio. And flash forward to 2019 after 24 years of creating art he almost sold the building to move onto new ventures ... Until he began finding THOUSANDS of historic relics buried in his basement and backyard dating from the late 1800s to the early 1900s.

Low and behold it turns out his property and the 2 next to it (at least) were the site of an old city midden during that time period before most of the houses and building in the Germantown neighborhood had been built - and when that area was considered to be one of the further outskirts of town when it was still heavily based around Downtown, before suburban expansion began. So, in other words, it was a trash dump that all of the folks occupying the neighborhoods surrounding would come to dump their unwanted trash and household items. Plates, cups, bottles, silverware, toys, GUNS ... Patrick has since then found a little bit of everything - and he's in the process of turning the property and story into a museum to help lay out the stories and history of the past, as told by the items that people that were throwing away. Truly a "one man's trash is another man's treasure story".
