Oris Fly-in at Ambri Airport, Switzerland [1/2] (2013)

Back after a 6 year break at Ambri, one of the most challenging airfields in the Swiss Alps.

It was a rare opportunity to land in this spectacular valley airfield. Ambrì is a former military base decommissioned at the beginning of the 1990s and since converted into a civilian airfield.

This 2 day fly-in event, during which all the participants joined us to share our passion for aviation and a rare chance to land on this unique airfield which is flanked by the high Alps. Participation in this way helps to keep this very special airfield alive!

More than 150 aeroplanes took part in the fly-in including a Hawker Hunter, De Havilland Vampire Trainer, Yakovlev Yak 52, Pilatus P3, Pilatus PC-7 and an Antonov, with no less than 6,000 spectators on the airfield. The weather was perfect and the enchanting Swiss Alps, as the backdrop, made it an ever memorable event.
