Back in the mid-60s, Bud and Don Mathis turned to WKY-TV to promote their Oklahoma City furniture store. They backed “Country Social,” a show that showcased some of Country Music’s brightest stars. Notably, WKY-TV was among the rare local stations in the U.S. to boast color cameras at the time.
