No more leaks, but we sure did bring some salt water aboard. We installed a PSS dripless shaft seal in our sailboat without hauling out. If you are new here, we are converting our 1977 sailboat to be completely electric. Our previous shaft seal caused a slow leak; therefore, we decided to fix this prior to installing out new motor and lithium battery setup. Seemed risky, but ended up as a successful boat project.

Have you ever thought you would want to sell everything, live tiny/mobile, and sail the world on a sailboat as a liveaboard? We did too! We live on our 1977 Custom Ingrid Atkins 38' Sailboat full-time in Hawaii. We are working to restore our sailboat, Windrose, and bring her back to her early sailing days! We want to share with you the day to day life and reality of living aboard a sailboat. It's all about lifestyle balance while sailing. We want to show you the highs and lows, as we restore our boat in preparation to sail and explore this beautiful world.
