Silvia e-mailed me 4 months ago telling me she had a “very important haircut” that she needed done. She had been coloring her hair dark every 3 weeks for many, many years. In January 2020, with her husband’s encouragement, she began growing out her beautiful natural grey/white hair. She said at first, there were many times she wanted to throw in the towel and throw a box of color back onto her regrowth, but then Covid struck, and the blessing that came with it - was the push to just keep growing it out since she’d be at home for months anyway. ⁣

When we reopened @brooksandharlowsalon in June, we were immediately booked solid & we were not able get Silvia in until today, September 18th. She waited for me 💛. ⁣

After a thorough consultation, we decided on a shoulder-grazing modern shag. She was nervous. She told me that she has had long dark hair for YEARS, and this was a huge change for her. But I knew this haircut would look amazing on her and she trusted me to just GO WITH IT. So I did. ⁣

This was the end result. She loved it 😭. Also, both she and I actually loved that little bit of dark color left on her tips! It adds a bit of flare that goes with her sassy personality! ⁣
