Authentic Lahori Chikar Cholay Recipe | Street Food Delight | SA Kitchen

Welcome back to SA Kitchen! Today, we're diving into the vibrant flavors of Lahore with our Authentic Lahori Chikar Cholay recipe. This rich and hearty chickpea curry is a street food favorite, bursting with aromatic spices and tangy flavors that will transport your taste buds straight to the streets of Lahore.

Ingredients:
- 2 cups chickpeas (soaked overnight)
- 2 large onion (finely chopped)
- 4 green chilies (chopped)
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves (for garnish)
- 1 cup yogurt

Instructions:
1. Boil the soaked chickpeas until tender and set aside.
2. In a large pot, heat oil and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
4. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
5. Add yogurt, green chilies, and spices. Cook until the oil separates.
6. Add the boiled chickpeas and mix well. Add water as needed to achieve desired consistency.
7. Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve
