Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking and their families rallied in front of the Capitol as they press Congress to force more disclosure in the criminal investigation into the late financier.

Liz Stein said she met Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell when she was 21 years old and called in a moment that changed her life. After meeting Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, she said it felt like someone shut off the lights to my soul," she said.

During the rally, survivors demanded that the Epstein files be released publicly and that anyone complicit be held accountable.'

Stein hoped that the event and the survivors' presence would help the movement.

"I think that the hope that we have is that people see this as what it is. It's a crime. It's the crime of human trafficking. This is not a political issue. It's not a partisan issue," she said. "And I think, that disconnect is what we're really losing. And so I would ask people to stand up for their values over their political party and to really, really just consider the people that are involved. And the credibility of the people involved."
