Implementation was done with Unity 2018 in 2018.
It makes heavy use of the ECS and the Unity Job System.
The pathfinding is an A* which was pretty interessting to implement with ECS.

The graph for the pathfinding is not optimized at all and contains a node for each and every tile. This means that you can use huge maps and alot of agents if you optimize the graph. I might continue with the optimization just to see the performance. The biggest bottleneck right now seems to be the sprite rendering. I do not cull anything and entities are not removed when they have reached their target.

I had to cut down the video to 1/3 of its original length. Most of the people were not even seeing all the agents running.
