I pulled into the anchorage at Smuggler Cover Marine Park to check it out for an anchorage for the night. There was 45 knot SE winds in the forecast for the night, so in the end, I didn't feel comfortable with the exposure as well as how tight the anchorage was. It seemed I could maybe get only a 3:1 anchor rode out in the tight quarters. I wanted more than that for the storm that was coming so headed another mile or so north to Secret Cove. I was glad I did as the night was quite memorable even in the shelter of Secret Cove.
