Learn how to use GitLab Duo to get started with COBOL programming, explain and understand existing programs, and how to refactor/fix problems.

This is a first-time COBOL experience with spontaneous ideas - you'll learn how to compile COBOL programs on macOS, explain COBOL with a Python analogy, ask Duo Chat to /explain like I am five, and even attempt to refactor COBOL into Python.

Tested on GitLab.com SaaS, using Claude 3.5 for Duo Chat, on 2024-07-17. Older LLM versions may not produce the same results.
