Significance of Gowri Habba:

The festival is particularly significant for married women, who pray for the longevity and prosperity of their husbands, while unmarried women seek a good spouse and a blessed marriage.

One of the unique aspects of Gowri Habba is its connection to Ganesh Chaturthi. According to mythology, Goddess Gowri is said to visit her son, Lord Ganesha, on this day. The following day, Ganesha is honored and worshipped in homes and temples across the region. Gowri Habba is thus considered a precursor to Ganesh Chaturthi.
