An Outsider's Interpretation of Chinese Hook Swords

I'm approaching these intentionally with a blank slate, without prior knowledge of their use or historical context. Although that means I'm bound to get things wrong and reach inaccurate conclusions to some extent it's interesting to approach a weapon design without any preconceived notions and just get a feel for it.

Unfortunately I can't do the cool moves that Kabal pulls off in Mortal Kombat 11. :)
