How to remove Gel Polish | Filing technique - Watch me work

There are two ways to remove soak-off gels/gel polishes: soak them off or file off.
Gel polishes were designed to be soaked off, but sometimes it makes sense to use an electric drill and simply file it off. I use both methods, but for 80% I use filing technique with media coarse ceramic drill bit. Here’s why:
✅You are able to not touch the natural nail while removal. Simply leave a thin layer of old base coat (if it’s not lifting/chipping) on the nail and apply a new product.
✅It won’t dry the cuticles / surrounding skin
✅It takes less time.
If a client wants to take off gel polish off only without any further service. I will still use this method as I can leave a thin protective layer on her nails. It will grow off after 2-3 months and she can safely file the length as it grows.
