From January 8th to 10th, 2026, the Somnath Swabhiman Parv will be celebrated with grand religious and cultural events at Somnath Temple, Gujarat. This year marks the 1000th anniversary of Mahmud of Ghazni's attack on the Somnath Temple, making the occasion historically significant. During this three-day festival, a 24-hour continuous chanting of 'Omkar Nath' will take place at the temple, creating a divine spiritual atmosphere. Special trains will run from Surat, Rajkot, Vadodara, and Ahmedabad to Somnath daily, allowing devotees to join in the celebrations. On January 10th, an important meeting with the Somnath Trust will be held, followed by a grand drone show showcasing the history and devotion associated with the temple. Additionally, the temple’s beachfront will be beautifully lit, and boats will be adorned, offering a mesmerizing view for all the attendees.
