I rolled my eyes when I heard this was going to be hard. I thought: I'm a great gamer, no way this is that hard, all these fools are scrubs. Nope, this game is hard and I am the scrub. It is really fun though. It's one of those games that you walk into a room and think: how in the world am I going to do this? And you just have to mess around until you figure out a strategy. It's really satisfying. Most of the game is not all that bad, but there are some crazy challenge rooms that really pushed me and those were hecking fun to do. Holy crap were they hard. You had to be perfect and they tried to kill you at every step. At first I thought your lives mattered. They don't, so not sure why they are there. The infinite spawning enemies in some rooms isn't great. You also can't easily switch between using the d-pad and the analogue stick. I like swapping. It also would have been nice if the game indicated collectibles somehow. I was unable to find them all. The bosses were a ton of fun and were certainly challenging. That final boss was wild. Things go from wildly overwhelming to manageable pretty quickly. The pixel art i also very pleasing. The controls were pretty solid too. It's also not all that long. And for a game like this it's perfect. Enjoy my blind playthrough.
