SWTOR Update 7.7.1 is here – and with it begins Galactic Season 9: Flashpoint Resurgence!
Starting August 19, 2025, Star Wars: The Old Republic is all about Flashpoints, new seasonal objectives, and of course plenty of exciting rewards. But how well does the new system really work? Is the new season worth it for both veterans and newcomers alike?

In this video, I give you a detailed overview of Galactic Season 9: Flashpoint Resurgence and showcase what else Update 7.7.1 brings to the table. Alongside the season, there are other changes such as quality-of-life improvements for free-to-play players, character modernizations, adjustments to certain NPCs, and even a brand-new Twitch Drop. Cartel Market items are also part of the update, but I’ll cover those in a separate video.

What makes things especially interesting this time is the new structure of seasonal objectives, which are closely tied to Flashpoints. The activity window has also been adjusted to make playing more comfortable. On top of that, there are unique rewards and fresh incentives designed to shake things up – you’ll see more about this directly in the video.
