Things to do in SHOREDITCH. Best Neighbourhood in London?

We spent a day exploring Shoreditch, in East London and found some great things to do in the area.

We started off with getting bagels at Beigel Bake. We got one with cream cheese and one salted beef. We then went to a nearby park to have a quick picnic. While here we spotted lots of street art and graffiti. We continued to search for local street art as we explored the streets of Shoreditch.

After that we went to Boxpark. A pop-up shopping area of Shoreditch made up for shipping containers. It also had many places to eat and drink and we spent awhile exploring the two levels.

Lastly we went to Old Spitalfields Market. We made our way through the vendors looking at everything for sale including clothing, food, and jewelry. Lastly we grabbed a quick bite to eat, trying amazonian flat bread for the first time.

How to get there:

Hoxton and Shoreditch are a short walk from Old Street Tube station, which is a five-minute Tube ride from London Bridge on the Northern line. Shoreditch is also easily accessible by an overground trip to Shoreditch High Street station.

As the creative hub of London’s trendy East End, you’ll never be short of things to do in Shoreditch. Stretching out from the edge of The City to the River Lea. Highlights include the large cluster of Sunday markets and the nightclub area of Shoreditch.

Shoreditch stretches from Old Street station to Kingsland Road in the London Borough of Hackney. Culturally though this is part of the East End. This was once an area largely populated by skint artists but they were scattered once the wave of design and media studios and commercial art galleries rolled in. Although the area is still underdeveloped in many ways, this is one of the best places to go out drinking in London, simply because there are so many different bars, pubs and clubs dotted all over this area and many of these stay open past 23:00.

Did you know: The first two London theatres were built in Shoreditch – The Theatre and The Curtain Theatre.
