This video is of the popular NHYC & BYC sponsered 2024 "Ship Rock Race" from Newport Beach, Calif to to White's Cove on Catalina Island. Friday the fleet races to Catalina, Saturday they race up the island and around majestic Ship Rock and Sunday they race back to the Newport Beach pier. Marty was at the helm of the Down East 38 which danced around like a pogo stick in the brisk afternoon breezes. One boat ran over their spinnaker and totally stopped!!
