Climate change, lengthening life expectancies and sedentary lifestyles are impacting hospitals and public health sectors across the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA). The rise of AI in health presents a powerful opportunity to tackle these challenges and enable better patient outcomes.

In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on 19 December 2023, the MIT Jameel Clinic, the Ministry of Health, King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) and Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University hosted 'AI Cures • MENASA 2023' to address obstacles and find a way forward for AI in health in the MENASA region.

'AI Cures • MENASA 2023' convened researchers, health industry leaders, government partners and donors to discuss trends and advancements in AI, data and challenges and opportunities in the region, through a series of keynote sessions and panel discussions.
