This fight against Idolater Sol could have been cleaner—but that’s part of the story. A lot of damage windows were missed by failing to land the locust canisters, the key mechanic that drops him from invincible to very much killable. Distractions didn’t help either: the background music was being remixed live during the fight, which explains both the strange audio and the longer runtime.

Mechanically, the strategy is straightforward. Focus on the green locust columns, grab the canisters as soon as they appear, and throw them directly at Idolater Sol to expose his vulnerable phases. Once he’s open, concentrate fire on the swollen weak points—especially the large green pustules—until he resets. He has red health only, so incendiary damage works extremely well.

There are a few hazards to respect. When lightning is called down, the small safe wedges on the ground are mandatory—ignore them, and you’ll get erased fast. He also fires spike projectiles and energy beams, but with a strong survivability buil,d those are manageable and mostly chip damage.

Not the cleanest run, but still a fun, chaotic fight—and a reminder that boss mechanics deserve more attention than the DJ booth.
