Welcome to Alien: Isolation on Nightmare Mode, the game’s most punishing difficulty; no HUD, minimal resources, and zero forgiveness.
In Part 1, we follow Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley, as she begins her journey aboard Sevastopol Station after learning new information about her mother’s disappearance 15 years earlier. What starts as a quiet investigation quickly becomes a tense fight for survival. This episode covers Mission 1 through most of Mission 3, introducing core mechanics, stealth systems, and the overwhelming atmosphere that defines Nightmare Mode.

▶ Mission 1: The Torrens
Amanda awakens from hypersleep aboard the USCSS Torrens. This opening mission focuses on world-building, exploration, and story setup, allowing players to familiarize themselves with movement, terminals, and save systems. The calm tone sets the stage for what’s to come.

▶ Mission 2: Arrival at Sevastopol

Upon docking at Sevastopol Station, Amanda quickly discovers that something is very wrong. This mission introduces resource scavenging, environmental puzzles, and stealth navigation, as well as Amanda’s first real encounters with danger. Nightmare Mode heightens tension by limiting guidance and forcing careful movement.

▶ Mission 3: Seegson Communications (Partial)

As Amanda pushes deeper into the station, threats escalate. This section introduces human enemies, distraction mechanics, and key survival tools, requiring patience and awareness. The sense of vulnerability increases as hostile encounters become unavoidable.

Nightmare Mode removes safety nets, making every sound, shadow, and decision matter. This is only the beginning and it’s already unforgiving. The hunt hasn’t begun yet… but it’s coming.
