Hello everyone. Sorry for the absence, I said I had some more stuff to share and I still do, but almost 2 months ago I lost something very important, way too dear for me to lose so suddenly, and I couldn't get myself to upload. I had a lot of stuff done that I want to show and upload, and I'm still getting through this, it's still painful, but I'm forcing myself to go back to sharing what I do.
So, for a while I imagined some more fun things that you could potentially do with a character like Jean Grey and her very versatile powers, she was also one of my mains since Xmen Legends 1 and 2. Some of you even asked me to do something with her, but I couldn't settle for a particular version to modify, because there were a few good ones and also boosters but I also saw some bugs and issues I didn't like. Then I came across one of Outsiders' packages, and saw it included his own version of her, which was not in the main catalogue, so I had to try her. And indeed I loved her, this one felt good, complete, didn't see apparent bugs and was full of content, so props and thanks to Outsider once again. So, I took my new favorite Jean and just had fun with her powers.
Here's the list:
Changes:
New shortcuts have been added for some of her powers on (block+grab), (attack, grab) and (attack, jump), for controller players
Taunt has been moved to (jump, heavy) to be able to use block hotkeys more conveniently
Dark Phoenix/Jean Grey transformation is now a lot faster and doesn't do much damage, so that move can't be abused, while both forms can be enjoyed with much more freedom
Jean moves, more focused on control:
Telekinetic dash (jump, grab): Jean uses her powers to move around quickly in a controlled manner
Advanced telekinesis (block+jump): Jean uses her telekinesis to repel enemies around her and throw them in the air. It can destroy objects, and can also chain into other moves by pressing different buttons, before or right after throwing them in the air:
Repel (jump): The basic move to throw enemies upwards, all chains can be used repeately as long as Jean has energy left
Shockwave (attack): Throw all nearby enemies away from Jean
Smash (heavy): Throw nearby enemies back down, causing them considerable damage against the ground if used right after throwing them in the air
Capture (grab): Telekinetically grab a distant enemy in front of Jean and have them float towards Jean or the team for a bit
Psychic illusions (block+heavy):
Concealment (only one tap): Jean uses her powers to conceal her presence and those around her for a short time
Decoy (tap heavy again): Jean creates a psionic decoy that fools enemies into seeing her somewhere else and distracting them for a while. You can have both illusion effects for the price of one if timed correctly.
Psionic barrier (block+attack): Jean exerts herself to create static psionic walls that can stop projectiles and knock any enemies that get close to them to the ground. Up to 4 can be kept at a time
Dark Phoenix moves, more forceful and direct, some a bit more expensive:
Phoenix dash (jump, grab): Phoenix dashes forward with unstoppable force, ramming through enemies in the way
Controlled fury (block+jump): Phoenix keeps enemies at bay with telekinetic force, burning and shoving them away
Uncontrolled rage (block+jump, keep block held): Phoenix makes nearby enemies explode in cosmic fire
Cosmic teleportation (block+heavy): Phoenix teleports forward, which may hurt and throw around enemies caught in the way
Phoenix Force guardian (block+attack): Phoenix creates an entity with a small fraction of its power that will stay in place while shooting fiery projectiles at nearby enemies (variant of her great XML2 summon). Up to 3 can be kept at a time
