Helltides are a region wide event in Diablo 4 that will give players an opportunity to find Aberrant Cinders to spend on Chests like Tortured Gift of Protection, Tortured Gift of Weaponry, and Tortured Gift of Mysteries. These chests will give players loot based on the type of chest they open. However, one of these chests do not appear on your map in Helltides and they are by far the strongest because they give up to 4 legendary items as well as a chance for uniques. The quantity of loot is higher in these chests but so is the price. This is more than made up for though by the guarantee of having at least 1 legendary item in each of the chests. On top of this, the chests will almost always award players with the highest gear type in the world tier. So for example, World Tier 3 will usually have Sacred and World Tier 4 will usually have Ancestral. This means that players can walk into a helltide and possibly loot 6 of these chests for 24 legendaries in a single run. This is a super quick way to gear up in Diablo IV.
