In today's video I show a little speedbuild of how I dismounted, fixed and repasted this Alienware laptop. It will show you real quick how to refurbish pretty much every used Laptop that you get.

When you buy an used laptop, whether it works or not, there are always a few thing I recommend you do first. First thing, you want to properly clean the outside and every port/connector using isopropyl alcohol, some tissues and maybe an air compressor if you happen to have one. You’d be surprised by how many times laptops get fixed just thanks to that. Maybe the power cord plug was dirty, or the usb ports stopped working because of that. A LOT of keyboards get fixed like that. At this point, if your laptop doesn’t even turn on you probably want to properly disassembly it, clean the inside and do a proper repaste. If it does indeed turn on, you absolutely want to make a clean install of Windows 10. And when I say “clean” I mean using an USB drive and actually deleting the partition with the OS using the USB before going to install anything. During this step in the process I encountered the problem in which the laptop was forcing me to use an online Microsoft account, but I did a video about how to bypass that, you can find it on my page, and make sure to drop a follow and a like if you want more of this kind of content. At the end you can see a pretty decent firestrike score, which I got after the undervolt of the machine.

We also repaste the laptop, clean everything up and make a clean install of Windows 10. We disassembly everything to the very motherboard and heatsink, so you might also find this useful if you were looking for a disassembly tutorial, since all those Alienware laptops need pretty much the same procedure.
