Mobb Deep's The Infamous has long held the reputation of being a 90s rap classic and is mentioned among the best albums of it's era. And understandably so, Prodigy and Havoc delivered some dark, vivid lyrics and Havoc (and Q-Tip's) beats provided the perfect backdrops to accompany Mobb Deep's sinister, vocal vibes. Not to mention, this album had Shook Ones Pt. II and Survival of the Fittest.

However, the album that dropped a year and a half later, 1996's Hell on Earth, I would argue, is nearly if not as good as The Infamous, track for track. It has the cold blooded opener Animal Instinct, the excellent Drop a Gem on Em (which was a 2pac diss that dropped AFTER his murder), and one of my favorite Mobb Deep Songs Front Lines (Hell on Earth), which contains a perfect beat loop (a Chick Corea sample which is tough to pinpoint in the original track).
