6-25-2024 - Indianapolis, IN to Lincoln, NE

Tuesday, June 25, 2024, driving from Indianapolis, IN to Lincoln, NE. This is the first of two days driving back to Glenwood Springs, CO after watching the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials and participating in the U.S. Masters Swimming Spring Nationals. Rather than taking the direct route back along I-70, I jumped up north on I-74 and connected with I-80 to head west. This allowed me to see new parts of the country that I had not been through before. Day one drives on this trip seem to have all of the weather. There was a major storm with heavy rain near Peoria, IL. No stops on today’s drive as I wanted to get some good sleep before the second day’s driving marathon.
