Let's Play - Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut - Part IV

This is, without a doubt, my all-time favorite game! The controls are intuitive, making it easy to dive in, while the sheer amount of content ensures endless hours of exploration and enjoyment. Best of all, the gameplay is as dynamic as you want it to be—you can choose to unleash chaos by taking down every enemy in your path or embrace stealth and leave everyone virtually untouched.

As a Director's Cut edition, the game includes a treasure trove of developer commentary scattered throughout, offering fascinating insights into its creation. I’m looking forward to uncovering each and every one of these behind-the-scenes nuggets as I play!

Since it is an older game, it might need some adjustments to work on newer computers, especially on Windows 10 and Windows 11 (24H2 update). The game has trouble running on newer multi-core processors, but do not worry—there is a solution!
Fix for Steam Users
If you bought the game on Steam, follow these steps to make it work:
1 - Open the games’ Properties in your Steam library.
2 - Go to the General section and find Launch Options.
3 - Copy and paste this line into the box:

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /C start "" /affinity F "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Deus Ex Human Revolution Director's Cut\DXHRDC.exe" %command%

That should fix it for most people.
Additional Tips
If it still does not work, try these:
• Run the game in Administrator Mode.
• Use Windows 7 Compatibility Mode.
Be careful, try only the Launch Option first. Doing all three fixes at once (Launch Options, Admin Mode, and Compatibility Mode) made my game stick in a startup loop. So, only do what you need!
