Celebrating Our City Sharing Our Stories

We ran Celebrating Our City Sharing Our Stories as a celebratory closing event for the Our City Our Stories project. Here's a glimpse into our celebration of the fabulous stories that were written throughout the project.

Our City Our Stories delivered a series of workshops to share Nottingham’s community stories! We captured unique stories at Bilborough, Dales Centre, Radford-Lenton, The Meadows, Southglade Park and St Ann's Valley Libraries. Following on from these writer-led workshops, we invited participants to share their stories at the final celebration at Nottingham Central Library.

Thank you to Ruth Lewis-Jones for managing the project, to the librarians at all six libraries for welcoming us so graciously into their spaces. And thank you to the writers: Sonya Hundal, Leanne Meadows, Paula Rawsthorne, Peter Rumney, Jay Sandhu and Thom Seddon, who devised workshops, gathered stories, and inspired people to share!
