We installed the Viega manabloc after the foreclosure we bought turned out to have multiple burst copper lines. We removed all the old copper plumbing and completely rerouted all the water supply plumbing lines with pex piping connected to a pex manifold. The cost to replumb the whole house was remarkably low as we were able to do all the supply work ourselves.
The advantages of a pex manifold system is faster hot water delivery, simplified plumbing repairs as any single plumbing fixture can be turned off without the entire house water supply being turned off.
