Former Bachelor Host Chris Harrison, engaged to longtime girlfriend Lauren Zima and no the ring is not Neil Lane

Chris Harrison proposed to his girlfriend Lauren Zima over the weekend on a couples getaway in Napa California. The couple shared adorable pictures to their instagram to announce the news. Chris writes: I love you @laurenzima, the next chapter starts now. And the next chapter is really starting for the former Bachelor Host, as Chris has wiped all the pictures off his instagram grid and is ready to start fresh in this new chapter of his life.

Wiping all your instagram pictures is BOLD, as Chris has had quite the year after being let go from the Bachelor after his racially insensitive interview with Rachel Lindsay earlier this year over controversial contestant Rachel Kirkconnell. While Chris has put out several apologies and accepted his fate to longer continue with the show, that part of his life is clearly over and he solely wants to focus on his future, with Lauren.

Chris and Lauren have known each other for many years before they linked up. Lauren has worked as an on air host and correspondent for Entertainment Tonight and has spent many years covering the Bachelor and interviewing Chris Harrison. But, it wasn’t until the first time the two of them were able to talk, not during an interview where they were really able to connect and develop a relationship.

Lauren’s claim to fame at ET was her very popular Bachelor Recap show, Roses and Rose. Which truly made her the perfect match for Mr. Bachelor Host himself. However, after the show let go of Chris, Lauren was forced to end her popular recap show and stick by her man through all of the scandal. Lauren still continues working for ET and is one of the network's top reporters, but generally now stays away from Bachelor coverage.

Lauren was so excited for Chris to propose. While this will be Chris’s second marriage, this will be Lauren’s first. And she was so excited to tell the world, writing: "We tell each other this all the time, and we said it again in an unforgettably beautiful moment this weekend: I didn't know love could be like this," "You are the most incredible partner. Thank you for loving me, championing me and asking me to marry you. Here's to the next amazing chapter, and all the rest."

While Chris already has two kids, who are in college, Lauren has yet to become a mom. Is it possible these two could want to have children in the future?
