Here is my showreel from the Aardman Academy Stop Motion Foundation.

In order of appearance:

For the final task of the stop motion foundation course I used all the skills learned over the previous weeks to create a scene with three different animated elements. Unfortunately due to personal commitments, I've struggled to find time to remove the animation rigs however I hope to do this soon.
A massive thank you to the Aardman Academy for creating such a fun course and I hope I can develop my skills further in future.


Week 1 of the stop motion foundation course focused on sliding and morphing. The final task of the week was to create a piece that incorporated both these skills. I thought I would also experiment with briefly animating my hand and recording sound.

Week 2 of the stop motion foundation course focused on ball and tail and forced splat. The final task of the week was to create a piece that incorporated both these skills. I decided to challenge myself by using a jig and incorporate morphing to create a story. This is the second stop motion piece I've created and overall I am very pleased with my progress. In future I'll focus on getting smoother transitions with my hands and rig masking in post.
