Joshua at ‪@righteoussoundpickups‬Righteous Sound has recently designed a new set of PAF style humbuckers with Greenie in mind. The neck installs backwards, and is wound with formvar wire, designed to pair with the bridge that is wound with PE wire. The out-of-phase sounds on this set are incredibly dynamic. Adjusting the neck up or down will add more or less quack to the sound, and adjusting the volumes to be unmatched will also change the tone to be more or less phase cancelling. You can really dial in everything from extreme phase cancellation to something that just has that hollow sound but with the same output as a normal middle position. I'm using my R9 with with my Ceriatone Plexi50 Bass head and my 1976 4x12. The speaker mic'd is a Heritage 20w Greenback MIE. I'm using my LPD Cascade for some reverb and a Vemuram Shanks ODS-1 for some extra gain.
