Soumyadip's introduction to the world of computers began at the age of five when his father first introduced him to a laptop.

This early exposure was crucial in shaping his future interests, particularly when he played "Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2".

Playing this game was a significant factor in developing his interest in the mechanics and creation of video games.

One fine day, while playing various games back to back, Soumyadip thought about how it would be to create a new game mixing the mechanics of the two different games that he had just played.

This thought built a home in his head, and it simply decided not to leave. His curiosity led him to read blogs by indie game devs and eventually discover the Unity game engine.

This discovery was a turning point!

Soumyadip's commitment to understanding game development deepened when he chose to study computer science in 10th grade. It was during this period that he began coding and conceptualising his first game, combining elements from different genres.

He developed his first project, a first-person shooter game set in a zombie apocalypse, using Unity. This game project was an important milestone, as he shared it with his friends who were able to play it and share real-time feedback.

The pandemic changed the course of his journey as he had to settle for the first job that came his way.

After completing his Bachelor of Technology, Soumyadip joined Capgemini. However, he soon realized that his passion lay in game development.

This led him to Outscal, where he joined Full-stack game development program. After spending some time with Outscal Community, he decided to finally quit his job and completely focus on game programming as a career.

The hobby that he developed in high school is now turning into his profession.

Soumyadip's journey from a young computer enthusiast to a skilled developer is a clear demonstration of his commitment to learning and adapting in a rapidly evolving industry.
