3 Randy Rhoads Licks From 1979

Описание к видео 3 Randy Rhoads Licks From 1979

Here's the next episode of Three-For-All with 3 Randy Rhoads Licks From 1979. I've had plenty of requests to feature more from the late-great guitar legend Randy Rhoads and this lesson centers around a few of his wicked live solo licks and intense soloing ideas.

The ideas shared in this lesson came from a bootleg from 1979 when Randy was still playing with Quiet Riot, which was not too long before he joined forces with Ozzy Osbourne. The footage is decent for the age of the bootleg and the licks/ideas on display are really interesting. These include a unique idea using an unusual technique by creating harmonics through plucking them with the pick (a variation of classical guitar plucked harmonics), a rolling melodic arpeggio idea, Randy's famous rapid-fire open string pull-off lick, and more!

We've already had a Rhoads-focused Three-For-All and Chordplay lesson added to the mix of material last year, in addition to hitting the classical side of his chord-based playing in another Chordplay lesson that was posted earlier this year, so I figured with the additional requests I've had to feature more of Randy's playing that some fiery licks were in order - and that's exactly what you'll find in this episode.

There's a lot you can notice, study, and gain from approaching a player as talented and exciting as Randy Rhoads was, and this lesson is yet another glimpse of his immense musical talent and genius, as there are plenty of great ideas floating around in this lesson.
