How to Unlock, Clone or VIN edit a used or salvage vehicle module. Part 2-Demonstrating the solution

Описание к видео How to Unlock, Clone or VIN edit a used or salvage vehicle module. Part 2-Demonstrating the solution

This presentation shows step-by-step how to use the Andromeda Research Automotive Kit to reuse a locked, used or salvage vehicle module so that it can simply be installed in another vehicle. The demonstration uses a Chrysler/Jeep PCM but applies to any eeprom based vehicle module.
Here is what we cover:
1. How to setup the programming unit before attaching to the module
2. How to start the system software and choose the eeprom memory part number
3. How to install the in-circuit adapter and connect the cable with the clip
4. How to locate PIN 1 on the eeprom
5. How to connect the clip to the defective module eeprom
6. How to read the data from the defective assembly and find the VIN
7. How to attach the clip to the used or salvage module
8. How to program the original eeprom data into the locked or salvage module
9. How to complete the procedure and remove the clip
10. How to edit only the VIN without programming the entire eeprom

Summary: In this presentation (part 2) we show you how to setup the programming unit, install the in-circuit adapter and connect the cable with the clip. We then show how to start the system software, choose the eeprom part number and attach the clip to the eeprom oriented correctly to align with eeprom PIN#1. We then use the "Get Valid Data" command to read the eeprom data from the defective module. The clip is then moved to the locked, used or salvage module. Once attached we show how to confirm that the clip is making contact to the the eeprom before programming. We then program the defective module eeprom data into the replacement unit. We also show how to edit only the VIN in a module leaving the remaining eeprom data undisturbed. Once complete the module is reassembled and ready to be installed in the vehicle.
