Kashmir - Security forces on high alert

Over a hundred thousand Indian paramilitary forces and police have been
deployed in the the Kashmir Valley and nearby Jammu region ahead of the second phase of local elections to be held on Monday (16/9).
Indian army patrols regularly search the villages of Kashmir for militants in hiding, and try to persuade the local people to inform on them.
