उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार उद्योग और व्यापार से जुड़े कानूनों में बदलाव करने जा रही है, जिसके तहत जेल की सजा वाले प्रावधानों को आर्थिक दंड में बदला जाएगा। सीएम ने ईज ऑफ डूइंग बिजनेस को मजबूत करने पर जोर दिया है। यूपी सरकार जल्द ही सुगम्य व्यापार (प्राविधानों का संशोधन) विधेयक 2025 लाने जा रही है। इसके तहत आबकारी अधिनियम, शीरा अधिनियम, गन्ना अधिनियम, नगर निगम अधिनियम, भूगर्भ जल अधिनियम, प्लास्टिक कचरा अधिनियम, सिनेमा अधिनियम और पंचायत अधिनियम जैसे कई कानूनों में बदलाव किए जाएंगे। दावे के मुताबिक, जहां अब तक छोटे-छोटे उल्लंघनों पर जेल की सजा का प्रावधान था वहां अब भारी जुर्माना और अन्य प्रशासनिक कार्रवाई होगी।

Under this, changes will be made in many laws like Excise Act, Molasses Act, Sugarcane Act, Municipal Corporation Act, Ground Water Act, Plastic Waste Act, Cinema Act and Panchayat Act. According to the claim, where till now there was a provision of jail sentence for minor violations, now there will be heavy fines and other administrative action.
