Bus Observations of Phoenix, Arizona (November 2018) - Part 2/2... RUSH HOUR MADNESS!

Описание к видео Bus Observations of Phoenix, Arizona (November 2018) - Part 2/2... RUSH HOUR MADNESS!

A one hour long video of Valley Metro buses in-action in-and-around downtown Phoenix. Express and Rapid service bellow the transit landscape along Central Avenue, Van Buren Street, and Washington Street.

As it has been six years & three months since I last been to Phoenix, Arizona, my favorite buses were & still is the NABI Compobus units powered with a Detroit Diesel Series 50 engine. Unfortunately, if I ever head back to Phoenix, these buses will be retired, so this likely my last ever recording(s) of these units. Fact: Valley Metro is one of only two operators to have a fleet of these NABI rarities -- other being LACMTA (Los Angeles, CA). In 2005, Chicago Transit Authority (Chicago, IL) demonstrated one unit; more info via link: [https://www.chicagobus.org/buses/7800]

Note: If there is one thing you'll notice profusely throughout this video, is Valley Metro's reconciliation to decide on a proper livery to go forth with. You'll see the original white/mint green locals; silver frame with 3-4 various colors; white & purple... sigh SIMPLY!... It's an OCD person's (i.e.: "ME!") worst nightmare. But with those band of different schemes come a variety of models unseen at any other "single" transit company, anywhere, in North America. At least the RAPIDs are going forth the original livery design.
