Tibet 18-27 April: From Kathmandu to Lhasa

We did a land tour from Kathmandu to Lhasa, crossing via Gyirong border. Our itinerary is as follows :

Day 01. Kathmandu(1310m)-to-Kyirung(2,800m)- pass the Immigration 185km : 6-7 hours Our staff will pick up from your hotel in Kathmandu in the morning and then we will drive along small mountain road to the border at Nepalese side; on the way you can enjoy the waterfall, river, gorges, forest. Finally, we will arrive at Gyirong in Tibet side

Day 02 Gyirong (2,800m)to-Tingri(4,300m)-255km 5-6 hours
After Breakfast drive uphill to the height plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world from where weather permitting, breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt. Cho Oyu (8,201m) and Mt.Xishapangma (8,012m) on the way to Pikucho lake and to Everest Base Camp and to Tingri overnight (4300m)

Day 03: Tingri(4,300m) to Shigatse.
Drive to Shigatse to visit Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery.

Day04Shigatse(3,900m) – Gyantse (3,950m) 90Km 3 Hours’ Drive
After Breakfast Drive to Gyantse and visit Kumbum Stupa and Phalkhor Monastery .Stay Overnight at Hotel.

Day05: Gyantse (3,950m) - Lhasa(3,650m) 261 Km 05 -06 Hours’ Drive
After Breakfast full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola(5,010m), Kambala(4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok- Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Stay Overnight at Hotel.

Day 06, 07, 08. Sightseeing in Lhasa(3,600m)
After Breakfast Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar,Potala Palace, Ganden Monastery, Drepung and Sera Monasteries . Stay Overnight at Hotel

Day 9: Free & Easy

Day10. Lhasa to Train station.
After Breakfast drive to the Train station departure flight to Chengdu.
