As part of our Global Week of Service Hilton Istanbul Volunteers, in partnership with our partner company Travelium Travel agency, and with the support of CYDD Foundation (The Association for Supporting Contemporary Life), took a group of 10 students, to a field trip to the major museums and historical sites of Istanbul.

Students are selected from a boarding school (Arnavutkoy Sehit Cavus Selcuk Gurdal Secondary boarding school) in the suburbs of Istanbul, who come from families with low income and who do not have the chance to visit these places on their own.

Students were picked up from their school ( which is almost an hour away from the city center) in the morning and taken to the Hilton Istanbul for breakfast and had a tour of the hotel with our volunteers. It was an exceptional experience for them as it was their first time to visit a 5 star hotel in their lives.

They have then departed for the city tour together with our volunteers, with a professional tour guide.

The places they visited included:
-Topkapi Palace
St Sophia Museum
Blue Mosque
Hippodrome Square

Many social responsibility projects held during the Global Week of Service by the Hilton Worldwide Hotels between November 11th—18th, in collaboration with the "Hilton in the Community Foundation", the aid organization of Hilton Worldwide in Europe.
